Love Loss

2016 – 2019

The sudden loss of a loved one and the subsequent grief is transformative. When it happens more than once, the wake of emotional change left behind is like a series of tidal waves that continuously buffet you from sea to shore to open waters. The works in this series are honest expressions of grief so deep it can only be understood by trying to visualize it. These works start as pure abstraction but evolve over time into the repeated theme of narrative abstraction.
